Italian is a delicious style of cuisine, almost indulgent with all the variety of ingredients and courses on offer. Far more than simply pizza or pasta, Italian food gives a real appreciation for fine dining. The whole experience From the apertivo (aperitif) to the desserts, then a dolce (sweet dessert), and caffe and digestivo, gives so many areas to choose from, so it can be hard to know where to start for the authentic Italian dining experience.
Here we're going to look at a great recipe for an Italian steak, plus a refreshing drink to go with it. It sounds simple -- and isn't difficult to make in your own kitchen -- but the result is anything but! This dish will delight and impress your guests.
Italian Parmesan Steak Recipe
Ingredients:
One steak per diner
1lb of ripe tomatoes (or sauce with tomato pieces)
Flour
Extra virgin olive oil
White wine
Oregano
Salt and pepper
Mozzarella or parmesan cheese To begin with, remove a clove of garlic, and fry it in a pan with extra virgin olive oil. After a couple of minutes, season your meat with salt and pepper and then pass your steaks through flour, and sauté them in the pan for a few minutes, depending on how well-cooked you and your guests prefer your beef steaks. When the steak is cooked to your preference, take them out and let them stand on a dish. Then place chopped tomatoes on the pan (Or, if you like you can use a tomato sauce, as long as it is chunky with tomato pieces), plus oregano and salt and pepper. After just one minute, put the steaks back into the pan, and pour in white wine. Serve while very hot and you have two options now; either grate the parmesan cheese on top of the steak. Alternately, you can take the meat out of the pan, and then place lumps of mozzarella cheese on top and bake for a few minutes until nice and melted. Serve with potatoes and fine Italian bread, and enjoy! Before you have your main course, you can enjoy this refreshing drink.
Italian Almond Milk Recipe
Ingredients:
2 lbs of almonds
Sugar
1 oz of rice flour
Water
Cinnamon
Remove the skin from the almonds and mash them into a cream. Pour it into a cloth and close it up, leaving a little space, and pour in a little water. Squeeze the cloth to filter out the water into a saucepan, and repeat a few times. Then add sugar to the saucepan and bring to the boil. Pour in rice flour bit by bit, then remove from the flame, add cinnamon, and serve up cold.
