Are you always looking for a new and different way to prepare the old standby meat we lovingly call ground beef? If so, you are not alone. Lots of folks rely heavily on ground beef to help them get dinner on the table in a short amount of time and for good reason too.
Lean ground beef is a great source of protein. Just about everyone likes the taste and it doesn't take forever to cook. You can fry it until its brown in a frying pan or skillet.
Here is my favorite ground beef recipe. It is quick and easy to make. This family favorite will not let you down. Stuffed green peppers are also delicious and beautiful on the plate and unlike some versions that take quite a lot of effort and time to prepare this one does not.
You will need:
Two bell peppers cut in half lengthwise
2 to 3 cups pre-packaged seasoned crouton stuffing mix
One pound of ground beef
An onion chopped
A can of corn
A can of diced tomatoes
Then you simply brown the meat and onions in a frying pan; add in the tomatoes, corn, and stuffing mix . Put the peppers in a shallow baking pan. Put the meat mixture into the peppers and cover the pan. Bake in a hot oven for about twenty minutes or until peppers are tender.
Sometimes in our house, we have a salad and some good French bread with this and make it like a feast. Other times we just eat the peppers and move on to ice cream. Whichever you prefer and have time for is just fine. Even little kids like this recipe but if yours do not like pepper just let them eat the stuffing.
